God is the ultimate authority, and His character is flawless. He directed the writers of Scripture to put down His thoughts in an infallible record. The thousands of prophecies found in this record give us great assurance that the Bible is the revelation of God. No other book in all of human history contains fulfilled prophecy. Thousands of times in the Bible the authors claim to be speaking the words of God. "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God" (2 Timothy 3:16). From this book we learn that God is just, holy, righteous, all-powerful, all knowing, loving, merciful, gracious, and kind.

The greatest revelation that God has given man is in the person of His Son. His Son came down from heaven to this world to make the Father known and to bring salvation to believing sinners. God's Son said, "he that hath seen me hath seen the Father" (John 14:9).

Man's rejection of God has led to many false ideas; one of which is the theory of evolution. Evolution is a religion and not science. It is a religion that has led our society down a slippery slope. If God doesn't exist, what kind of rules will be established to govern society? Every man will do what is right in his own eyes. He will make up his own rules. Unfortunately, we all have differing opinions, and as a result, God's revealed morality is being replaced by an ever-changing man-made morality.

This humanistic rejection of God is the natural outgrowth of evolution. The humanist believes that man does not have to answer to a higher Being because man is the measure of all things.
