    Back - Forward
  • Dear one, if you do not repent and believe this good news, then you will continue to experience the displeasure of God. God's wrath abides on the disobedient. The last book of the Bible, Revelation, tells us that God will pour out His wrath on this world because men refuse to repent of their idolatry, sorcery, drug abuse, immorality, thefts, and murders,.

Can you imagine one third of the world being killed by plagues? Men will be tormented with pain like the sting of a scorpion. Malignant, loathsome sores will affect their bodies and they will be scorched with great heat. In those days men will seek death and not find it; they will desire to die, but death will flee from them.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God, because He will severely judge those who have lived in disobedience to His Law, refusing to turn from their sin and believe the good news of Jesus the Messiah. God has promised that Jesus will return to this world someday as King and Judge. His coming will be preceded by signs. Jesus taught what those signs would be. Read Matthew chapters 24 and 25. Much of the prophecy of the Scripture is being fulfilled in our lifetime. His coming is soon.

"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead." (Acts 17:30, 31).
